Civilizations - Site full of information.

Hall of Explorers - This "Theme Page" has links to two types of resources related to the study of explorers. Students and teachers will find curricular resources (information, content...) to help them learn about this topic. In addition, there are also links to instructional materials (lesson plans) which will help teachers provide instruction in this theme. (Cited straight from the source)

Explorers Theme Page- This site has information on modern and early explorers.

Explorers- enchanted learning - This is a great site where I gathered some information and maps.

Columbus and The New World, 1493- This site is sponsored by Britanica.
Christopher Columbus - This is another site with lots of information, but becareful, you are going to have to sort through the info.
St. Lawrence River History (Jaques Cartier) - This site is devoted to Jaques Cartier.
Maps - This is a great site to find maps of the times.
